FARCROSS („FAcilitating Regional CROSS-Border Electricity Transmission through Innovation”) project was established to present innovative solutions to improve cross-border interconnections of the transmission grid using new hardware and software tools developed and implemented in the FARCROSS project.
As a market operator, HUPX’s role in FARCROSS is to participate in a pilot project (Co-optimized cross-border capacity auction algorithm), which aims to develop a new co-optimised algorithm, giving market players the opportunity to jointly submit bids for cross-border regulation reserves and energy sales. HUPX is furthermore in charge of hosting the common TSO-NEMO platform.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 864274.
